The Regal from Victoria is really in a class of it's own. The single-ended Class A design gives you that tweed sponginess coupled with overtones and touch sensitivity for days. The ability to switch tube types without rebiasing is an amazing feature. You can use one 6V6 for 5 watts of output or got to the full 35 watts with two EL-34's, and everything in between. The reverb and tremolo are gorgeous vintage quality and tonality. This is a fantastic amp for small gigs and recording. You can get nice warm jazz tones as well as great classic rock and blues tones. The Regal II from Victoria Amplifiers is an amp that stands in a class of its own. The Regal II has a 15 inch Eminence Legend speaker that produces a wide rage of tones, from thunderous lows, to pleasantly chimey highs. The Regal II also gives you the ability to switch out and mix and match tubes to get a gritty or custom sound that is difficult for another to match, and the fact that you can switch your tubes without rebiasing is an amazing feature. The top of the line design of the Regal II gives you tweed sponginess, coupled with overtones and touch sensitivity that will be sure to satisfy any style of guitar playing. In 1993, I set out to faithfully recreate the crown jewels among the many classic amplifiers developed by Leo Fender. The tweed amps of the late 50's defined the sound of rock and blues on vinyl and on stage, but they had also become increasingly scarce, and well beyond the reach of most working musicians.
