The Fender '57 Tweed Twin Combo is a 40-watt, all-tube guitar amplifier operating at 240V AUS. Built with a finger-joined solid pine cabinet wrapped in tweed covering and vintage-style brown/gold grille cloth, it drives a 2x12" Fender Special Design Ted Weber / Eminence speaker configuration with alnico magnets at a 4-ohm total impedance. The circuit features two channels (Normal and Bright) powered by four Groove Tubes 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 6L6 power tubes, and dual 5U4 rectifier tubes. Physical interface and routing appointments include four 1/4" inputs (two Bright, two Normal), two 1/4" parallel speaker jacks, black chicken-head pointer knobs, a red jewel light, and a vintage-style leather handle.

The '57 Twin-Amp™ is one of the most collectible amps of all time, with harmonically rich clean tones that are great for vintage rock, blues and country. Or it can be cranked up for full, sophisticated distortion. This all-tube combo amp has hand-wired circuitry; even reproducing the 1955-'57 edition "low powered" 5E8A circuit, which puts 40 watts into a pair of 12" alnico-magnet speakers. Power comes from dual GT6L6 output tubes and Fender's seldom-seen mid-'50s dual rectifier arrangement (using 5U4 rectifier tubes). With this design, power amp compression ("sag") is more subtle than in many Fender® tweed designs. Also features genuine lacquered tweed covering, vintage-style brown/gold grille cloth, top leather strap handle and fitted cover.
