This is a cool - fabulous sounding mic - elegantly designed,that provides liquid - warm sound. Old designs were destined to be improved upon and here is the proof. Our gold plated, 35 mm capsules are machined to the highest standard, way beyond what was possible 60 years ago. Each microphone is hand made. We don't use a big, old school,un-shielded hand wound transformer, that produces noise and interference, at the base of our microphone sleeve! The BV08transformer, was in reality a collage of different transformers and always a problem! Thus the various incarnations. Transformers not onlyhum - they createradio signal interference. That’s what made 47’s noisy! The whole sleeve - everything in it becomes a part of what is transduced in your mic. Our design is more advanced elegantly designed. The truth is the big microphone companies don't exist as they did before. They have been bought and sold and now sell knock offs of the original legends, Even Klause Hynes stated in his NPR interview that the average istener would hear no difference between the clones and the originals.
