I always get butterflies in my stomach whenever special-edition drums come to the shop, and this beautiful One of a Kind Snare Drum from Sonor evokes those same feelings of excitement. Featuring hybrid Maple/Birch/Maple shell (one of the first hybrid shells constructed by Sonor), this drum offers a well-rounded, balanced tone (thanks to the Maple) with slightly enhanced high-end (due to the Birch). The die-cast hoops included with this snare serve to focus the tone into a crisp, articulate attack.
Tonal characteristics aside, this drum sports a veneer of beautiful Etimoe, a hardwood native to West Africa. These limited-edition snares represent the pinnacle of craftsmanship that Sonor has developed over a century of drum-building. The reddish-brown sheen of this wood is accented by immaculate chrome hardware.
