Condition: Used, Excellent
SP Luthier Notes: A portion of the frets were not level with each other requiring them to be leveled, recrowned, and polished into near mint condition, The frets as they arrived were deemed to need only a minor cleanup. A polish was performed on the frets and fingerboard bringing the fretboard to pristine condition! The guitar required a full adjustment to the truss rod, nut, and bridge to be brought to a perfect level of playability. No further work was required.
This guitar is an odd yet super cool "bird" in the PRS world - pun intended! It's a beautiful Archtop II from the early '00s, complete with beautifully flamed maple (this guitar has TWO "10-top" pieces of maple on it) top and back, and mahogany sides for a slightly crisper sound! The PRS "Archtop" pickups are wonderfully smooth and do exactly what they sound like they would - these are slightly warmer and quieter, which makes for a much broader spectrum of sound - this guitar is harmonically rich and a joy to play!
