What We Think

Condition: Used, Excellent

We've been absolutely thrilled with the Nationals we've been received recently.  Each one feels like it came out of a perfectly sealed time capsule--this Triolian is no exception!  From that classic Walnut Brown burst to the unique level of sustain, roundness, and clarity the tricone design lends to the naturally barky, aggressive voice, this guitar pulls you in and doesn't let go until you've learned something.  Whether you're partial to fingerstyle, slide, or both, good luck putting this one down!

Manufacturer's Description from National

Our Triolian Tricone offers the best of the original Tricone models combined with elements of the famed single-cone Triolian’s special style. The body is constructed from thin-gauge steel and features a formed back. The guitar is hand painted in a glowing walnut-burst, just like the vintage W Series Triolians. The hard rock neck is capped by an ivoroid-bound rosewood fretboard set off by inlaid mother-of-pearl position markers. Tuners on the traditional slotted peghead are vintage-style engraved, open gear. The headstock is finished with a classic Triolian shield decal. And the sound of the Triolian Tricone also blends elements of both models: You can hear the Tricone’s famed sustain and choral tone, combined with the darker, deeper tone of the Triolian.
