What We Think

A great poet once sang, "the Mississippi delta was shining like a National guitar. . ."

Just goes to show how deeply these instruments resonate in the American subconscious

The tri-cone configuration gives you the balance and sweetness you need to play just about any style

The steel body gives you that haunting metallic bite that drove you to lust after a National in the first place

The cutaway lets your bottle-neck sing falsetto

The slim-line pickup lets you play a duet with your favorite tube amplifier

What more can I say?

This is the EXACT model I play :)

Ultimate Slide Recording Technique: Feat. Peluso P-87 and Peluso R-14 Microphones

In this video, SoundPure Pro Audio Expert, Travis Hall revisits the Ultimate Slide Recording Technique to show just how that amazing slide guitar sound was achieved. Using a mix of a Peluso P-87 LDC on the Reso and a Peluso R-14 Ribbon on the amp,  and running them through two Dave Hill Designs Europa 1 Preamps, we achieved a slide guitar sound that is simply outstanding. If you like what you hear, you can check out all the gear used in this video at SoundPure.com or call us anytime at 919.682.5552. Thanks for watching!

Manufacturer's Description from National

NRP Tricone

The NRP Tricone borrows many of its features from our single cone NRP guitar. The body is made from thin-gauge steel and has a formed back. Each is carefully hand painted at our factory in San Luis Obispo, Ca. A mahogany neck clears 12 frets to the body and features an unbound ebony fretboard complete with inlaid mother-of-pearl position markers. Tuners are vintage-style engraved, open gear.
