What We Think

Condition: Used, Excellent

A relatively recent innovation from the brilliant minds at National, this figured laminate maple/walnut single cone reso stuns sonically and visually.  Those hard, dense woods used in the construction offer clarity, sweetness, and depth to compliment the punchy, aggressive single cone soul at the core of this beauty.  Slide or fingerstyle, Blues or Jazz, vocal accompaniment or instrumental--you'll find stellar performance from the "Little Star" every step of the way!

Manufacturer's Description from National

Combine a wooden guitar body with an aluminum resonator cone and the result is a special brand of warmth and beauty to the sound. Developed in 2001, the Estralita Deluxe is constructed of walnut back and sides with a gloriously figured maple laminate top that’s triple bound with ivoroid/black/ivoroid to accentuate the sunburst finish. The walnut neck features an ivoroid-bound rosewood fingerboard accentuated by mother-of-pearl diamond inlays. The solid-style slotted headstock is graced by a National button. Tuners are open-gear vintage-style engraved. While the guitar is a true beauty, it’s the tone that mesmerizes. Whether you’re strumming, picking, or playing slide on the Estralita Deluxe, it’s rich, bold sound is an inspiration. No wonder it’s called the Estralita, or “Little Star.”
