A wood 'n' steel box that's solid gold for a fingerpicker! This thing has serious personality. The big ol' mahogany body and single cone capture every shade of blue and plenty other tones, too. Like a grandfather who's seen his share of late-night debauchery from a different time: warm and wise, but still bawdy enough to tell a howling dirty joke! That's not to say that down and dirty is the only mode the Trovador offers: a lighter touch evokes absolutely lovely, sweet tones, particularly in the mid and upper ranges. Pick this character up for a pre-loved steal and take home a new buddy today!

Designed in collaboration with Mike Dowling, this single cone guitar is patterned after the famous El Trovador produced from 1932-1933. Similar to its predecessor, our El Trovador guitar features a large, 4" deep body constructed of mahogany. The body is bound in multi-layer celluloid, with a matching purfling border around the coverplate. A wood soundwell houses the resonator. An ebony fretboard is mated to a solid mahogany neck, capped with a rosewood headstock overlay. The El Trovador's deep, unique voice has made it our most popular guitar in recent years.
