What We Think

Condition: Used, Very Good

What an absolute treat!  The AAAA Adirondack and Ancient Cuban Mahogany (can't get that stuff on the 35 series models anymore!) together is like an 18 style tonewood combo from either the mythical past or the distant future, we can't tell.  Clarity from bass to treble and an undeniably organic, woody tone are immediately evident.  Dry enough for immediate and expressive fingerstyle, powerful enough for rhythm playing solo or in a group.  Careful with open/altered tunings around this one--once you cross that line, you're never putting this thing down!

Manufacturer's Description from Lowden

The 35 Series is for the serious player who can appreciate a whole new world of subtle tone colours and dynamic range. This is the 35 version of the 32 and 25 models having the same warmth and focused projection. But because of the the extra definition of the AAAA grade soundboard wood, there is extra clarity and class in the tone. The O is deep, very resonant and has lots of overtones, the F has a more obvious focus and projection, while the S with either Adirondack or a sitka spruce top is superb as a pickers guitar.
