How to get a lower price, instantly!

Why do we do this?

Some manufacturers have a "minimum advertised price", which restricts how low of a price we can display. By requesting an e-mail quote from us, you give us the ability to offer you a lower price than anywhere else on the web. A quote on the product will be sent instantly to the e-mail address you enter, and you can add the product to your cart at the lower price displayed in the e-mail.

What We Think

Condition: Used, Excellent

SP Luthier Notes: A majority of frets showed evidence of play wear. As such, the frets were leveled, recrowned, and polished back to a near mint state. The guitar required a full adjustment to the truss rod, nut, and bridge to be brought to a perfect level of playability. No further work was required.

A Bourgeois Orchestra Model with GERMAN SPRUCE and Rosewood - what a combination! Subtlety can be absolutely classy, and this is a great example of that. Ivoroid binding draws a clean line bwteen the figured German Spruce top and Rosewood, and this guitar sounds like a gorgeous echo chamber that's easy to take a journey into. For an all-time classic wood combination which is often imitated, nothing sounds like a Bourgeois, and that is evident here. This guitar has plenty of natural reverb but also retains crystal clear highs. Our luthier knows his way around a fretboard, and you couldn't improve the playability any further if you wanted to. This is a slam piece from Bourgeois, and you shouldn't miss this one!

About Manufacturer

Bourgeois Guitars are defining the future of vintage tone, combining old-world hand-voicing techniques with modern innovations in design and materials. Built in a ca. 1850s mill in the industrial town of Lewiston Maine, master luthier Dana Bourgeois and his small team of highly skilled craftsman produce some of the finest steel-string instruments available today.

Known for tonal excellence, meticulous craftsmanship and top-notch materials, they are played by six-string luminaries such as Bryan Sutton, Ricky Skaggs, Sean Watkins, Della Mae, the late Doc Watson and countless professional and nonprofessional enthusiasts. Bourgeois guitars have had a prominent role in the American steel-string guitar renaissance for more than two decades, helping shape acoustic music’s most recent rise in popularity.
