What We Think

Condition: Used, Very Good

SP Luthier Notes: A majority of frets showed evidence of play wear. As such, the frets were leveled, recrowned, and polished back to a near mint state. The guitar required an adjustment to the truss rod, nut, and bridge to be brought to a perfect level of playability. No further work was required.

Seeking classic semi-hollow tones without the bulk? This stunning Vintage Sunburst ES-339 is your spirited solution. Unlike most, its mahogany body and figured maple top deliver a uniquely rich, resilient voice – the warm, woody whispers of mahogany meet the snappy, singing sustain of maple. You'll love the comfortable 1960 Slim Taper neck and silky-smooth rosewood fingerboard, perfect for effortless exploration. Dual '57 Classic Humbuckers provide that legendary PAF-style growl and sweet, soulful singing. What truly sets this guitar apart is the meticulous care it's received. Our expert luthier has leveled, recrowned, and polished the frets to near-mint perfection. Plus, we've precisely dialed in the truss rod, nut, and bridge for a flawless, fast-playing setup. This isn't just a guitar; it's a maximum playable specimen, poised to propel your passion. Don't miss this chance to own a truly exceptional semi-hollow!

Gibson Guitars

About Manufacturer

Today's Gibson electric guitars represent the history as well as the future of the electric guitar. The models whose designs have become classics-the ES-175, ES-335, Flying V, Explorer, Firebird, SGs and Les Pauls-are a testament to Gibson's wide appeal, spanning more than four decades of music styles. Gibson's close relationship with musicians is manifest in endorsement models from King, Atkins and jazz greats Howard Roberts and Herb Ellis, plus new Les Pauls made to the personal specifications of rock stars Jimmy Page and Joe Perry. In 1994, Gibson's Centennial year, the new Nighthawk model won an industry award for design, setting the stage for a second hundred years of Gibson quality and innovation.
