This is one seriously clean mandolin. From the aethetics to the fretwork, the thing is just squeaky. A lot of the time new mandolins will have good fundamental tone but sound too busy, requiring a long break-in period, but this mando has awesome focused and tight tone. Even up the neck, the high notes just pop and project just like you hear them in your head. The classic finish really showcases the gorgeous grain on the top, too. I wouldn't hestitate to bring this one anywhere, whether it's Galax or the recording studio.
