This wonderful little guitar practically jumps out of your hand with a distinctly boisterous, vintage tone. It's exciting and fairly rare to see such a great array of American woods so handsomely assembled (check those specs!) into a modern, old-world inspired instrument. The cherry bespeaks Mr. Newton's dedication to traditional styling. Often found in older smaller body guitars, it's got a prominent mid-range much like mahogany but, as a denser wood, also exhibits some of the brilliance in the highs often associated with rosewood...lightning fast attack with a balanced reverby decay, warm but not particularly dry, bright but not strident. Don't be afraid to get a little percussive, either--this thing responds well to exuberance! Whether you're a more modern player wanting to explore some older styles, or a roots-reverent box player looking to add some color to your palette, this joyful little guitar won't be left alone long before it finds a lap to leap into--make it yours today!
