Manufacturer's Description from Bourgeois

The Touchstone series is a collaboration between Bourgeois Guitars and Eastman Music Company. After Touchstone tops are approved by Dana, they are vacuum sealed and shipped to Eastman’s workshop where a select group of Eastman’s finest luthiers, carefully trained in Bourgeois’ tonal philosophy and construction methodology integrates the tops into Dana’s designs, bringing each guitar to life.

The newest addition to the Bourgeois Touchstone family is based on one of the most successful models ever to come out of the Lewiston workshop—the Country Boy.  This vintage-inspired workhorse is meticulously handcrafted with the specific aim of providing musicians best-in-class attention to detail, tone, and playability.  Resonating with warmth and clarity, the all-new Touchstone Country Boy offers an impressive dynamic range, perfect for aspiring and professional players alike.

Crafted from some of the finest tonewoods in its class, the Touchstone Country Boy features a one-piece Honduran Mahogany neck, Honduran Mahogany back and sides, and a hand-voiced, old-growth Sitka Spruce top.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional musician or just setting out on your road to the main stage, the Touchstone Country Boy is finally making the immersive, boutique playing experiences once reserved for the few, available to the many.

Bourgeois Guitars

About Manufacturer

Bourgeois Guitars are defining the future of vintage tone, combining old-world hand-voicing techniques with modern innovations in design and materials. Built in a ca. 1850s mill in the industrial town of Lewiston Maine, master luthier Dana Bourgeois and his small team of highly skilled craftsman produce some of the finest steel-string instruments available today.

Known for tonal excellence, meticulous craftsmanship and top-notch materials, they are played by six-string luminaries such as Bryan Sutton, Ricky Skaggs, Sean Watkins, Della Mae, the late Doc Watson and countless professional and nonprofessional enthusiasts. Bourgeois guitars have had a prominent role in the American steel-string guitar renaissance for more than two decades, helping shape acoustic music’s most recent rise in popularity.
