Sound Pure's Take
A wonderful, sweet-sounding banjo! LOUD! Every time I pick it I set the whole showroom ringing. It's in very good shape for its age and has been set up by our master luthier, Rob Sharer. It has some scratches on the back and a few blemishes on the neck binding on the player's side, but beyond that it's ready to sing. All the notes are full and perfectly pitched. It plays incredibly well and I can't help kicking it into overdrive. Eddie says it's making him dizzy. . .in a good way ;) The walnut is gorgeous and quilted with a nice variety in the wood hue. The cross makes this one special, too. Nothing like a Stelling banjo at a steal of a price!

From Other (Miscellanous Used/Vintage/Consign)
The Golden Cross was the ninth Stelling banjo to be built, the first one to have the trademarked Stelling peghead shape, and was named for Tony Golden, who rode motorcycles with Geoff and bought the first Golden Cross. This model was also honored to be the banjo played by the late great Don Reno for the last ten years of his life, and was featured on many of his fine recordings with Bill Harrell.
