This incredible One Of A Kind Pacific Walnut Burl is 1 of 50 in the world. This instrument features a 10mm German Beech shell and a 7" shell depth. These elements deliver a great focused attack with a wonderful fullness that is unique to this level of quality. The instrument itself is a piece of art for the eyes and ears. The Pacific Walnut Burl veneer can be seen on the interior and exterior, matching the beauty of the impeccable sounds this drum produces. The grain is accentuated with a mirror-like gloss finish while the interior ply is finished in a smooth matte.
The chrome hardware is well plated and flawless. Sonor lugs are equipped with the patented TuneSafe, which prevents the tension rods from loosening. The Dual Glide strainer system is equipped with a quick release snare wire detachment function, which allows you to change the resonant head without having to loosen and adjust the snare wires. A fine-tune adjustment knob is employed on both sides. Please take a moment to look through the photos and video, Sonor has produced a truly inspiring work.
Each series features an extremely limited run of specially designed snare drums with spectacular natural grown veneers and new shell designs. For each edition, a certain tree has been selected with the goal in mind to only use the most exciting parts of the grain and set them to perfectly set vertical grain patterns. Vertical outside veneer grains have been introduced through SONOR in 1973 and a the companies trademark ever since.
All veneers are sourced at specialized suppliers in Germany, which guarantee that these trees come from environment-friendly sources and are exported/ imported legally.
The instruments badges highlight laser cut mallet shaped logos, made out of the same veneer that is used on the snares itself.
