This X-Ray snare drum has a sonic resemblance to a high-quality metal-shell snare drum. It has plenty of crack and loads of volume potential. It features the Designer series lugs, die cast hoops, and the tension rods feature the slotted-head design fitted with Tune-Safe. This feature is a tension-rod locking device that squeezes the threads of the rods. Great for maintaining established tuning. Overall condition is great for this unique and rare top of the line snare drum.
The Designer Drums are more than a drum series – it is a concept to meet the highest demands of
today's professional musicians. Drummers want instruments with excellent sound quality, high
reliability and flawless design. At the same time every drum set has to meet specific requirements
for different kinds of musical styles. The Sonor Designer Drums meets all these demands and
more. Since 1875 Sonor has been famous for making state-of-the-art instruments by combining
solid craftsmanship with modern technology. As with series such as Delite, S Class PRO and
Force, the Designer Drums are a fine example of Sonor's commitment to quality and detail. At the
basis of this commitment is an international design team that works out the guidelines for every step of the production process for both drums and hardware.
As one of the oldest drum companies in the world, Sonor brings quality craftsmanship the old fashioned way, by researching their instruments, and constructing them so that they are built to last. It is this pride and dedication that has led Sonor to become one of the premier names in percussion today. Sonor drums and hardware consistently receive top results in tests put on by leading drum and percussion publications. As a first in musical instruments, Sonor received the highest design award of Germany in 1994.
Known for their quality of sound as well as their build quality, Sonor is the choice for top-tier drummers such as Glenn Kotche of Wilco, Danny Carey of TOOL, Steve Smith of Journey, Benny Greb, Jojo Mayer of Nerve, Gavin Harrison of Porcupine Tree, Chris Coleman of Prince, Jack DeJohnette, and many more. Through all the achievements and endorsements, Sonor remains dedicated to consistently offering players with the best sound possible.
