Condition: Collector's Grade. The guitar has markings expected of a 1966 instrument (As Pictured).
There is something so nostalgic and amazing about playing a vintage Rickenbacker twelve string! As soon as I played my first notes on this piece I found myself grinning somewhat uncontrollably. It was like lying out on a boat as waves gently rock you from side to side. The sheer amount of sound that is filled by a simple open chord is breathtaking and satisfying on a base level that few thrills can really stand up to. The bright and sparkling tone chimes with clarity and shining overtones. A vintage instrument, this guitar might not play like a brand new ax, but it has a certain character and wisdom to its tone that newer guitars just can't match. Like an old teacher this guitar reminds you that the most important part of music is the soul behind it.
Careful acoustic research has resulted in the full, rich and warm sound of this popular model. Two single coil pickups on a full size body are accented by a traditionally shaped sound hole. The 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard is punctuated by dot inlay fret markers, with full double cutaways permitting access to all the frets. Standard output is monaural through a single jack plate. Also available with an additional pickup (Model 340) and as twelve string versions with either 2 or 3 pickups (Model 330/12 and Model 340/12 respectively).
