Sound Pure's Take

Weight: 7.7 lbs.

Grammy-nominated rock and blues guitarist Rick Vito is one of the most discerning players around today - and much of that can be attributed to a lengthy tenure in the music industry. Since the 1970's he's put his signature sound on many albums from various artists - but is probably most noted for Fleetwood Mac.

His collaboration with Reverend Guitars to create the signature Rick Vito is no disappointment - an awesome creation perfect for almost all types of music thanks to its supreme tonal balance. The guitar is rather light and surprisingly comfortable, fitting snug under the shoulder and inviting you to play. The sustain is breath-taking, with a natural resonance that seems to sit behind your notes and fill up the dead space. The ebony fingerboard adds just the right amount of percussive snap to a warm sounding body but this guitar can get pretty aggressive when you have some gain on tap. The Dual Pro and P90 pickups have a fat rounded bottom end and glassy highs that seem to sizzle more than sparkle. The Art Deco-esque appearance and stylings only add to how tasteful this guitar is.

When it's all said and done - this guitar is a top-notch beaut, a landslide couldn't bring us down after we had this in our hands.

RICK VITO

Designed in collaboration with Grammy nominated rock and blues artist Rick Vito. This Art Deco masterpiece is a visual and sonic treat, with unique features including: ebony fretboard, stairstep tuner buttons, pickup pan knob, and included two-tone tapered case. But the big news is the Dual-Pro bridge pickup, based on a mid 1960’s Supro  pickup. It’s a hot single coil with a second blade polepiece in addition to the standard screw polepieces. Imagine P90 meets Tele with humbucker output… fat, raw and clear! And we fit it all into a standard size humbucker cover, a first in the industry.
