What We Think

Pork Pie has long been one of our favorite snare drums in terms of price and sound. This one of a kind snare features a seldomly used walnut tonewood from Pork Pie. The Walnut shell provides a full body note with a little more low end than maple. The medium and lower tuning really showcase and maximize the full body tone. Great as a side snare or primary snare, we found that the 12" diameter definitely speaks well in the higher tuning ranges, but the eight lug configuration will give you a nice even stretch on the drum heads if you prefer lower tunings too.
