Pork Pie has long been one of our favorite snare drums in terms of price and sound. This one of a kind birch shell brings this 6x12 snare drum to a new level of crisp articulation. The birch core provides the bright attack that complements the 12" diameter, but it is accentuated with the Bubinga interior veneer. Great as a side snare or primary snare, we found that the 12" diameter definitely speaks well in the higher tuning ranges, but the eight lug configuration will give you a nice even stretch on the drum heads if you prefer lower tunings too.
