This is a really spectacular snare. Visually the outer ply is real zebrawood with rosewood stripes. Not a fake print, but the real thing. The drum is stunning. It would be a beautiful compliment to any kit. Crisp and articulate sounds in just about every tuning range. A great studio or live drum without breaking the bank.

The Pork Pie 6.5x14 Maple Snare Drum is a really spectacular snare. With an 8-ply maple shell, this drum is finished with a visually attractive outer ply of zebrawood with rosewood striped veneers. This thin maple shell snare sounds great as a ballad snare tuned down, but equally, the sharp bearing edge and solid construction means there’s no fear in cranking it right up. In the higher tuning registry, the Pork Pie excels with sensitivity and snap.
