What We Think

Condition: Used, Excellent

Another versatile masterpiece from Lowden's Original series with an exquisite set of complimentary tonewoods! The Red Cedar top offers up wonderful, responsive dynamic control, the walnut back & sides bring power, volume, and fantastic clarity. That additional power and clarity makes this instrument a perfect crossover from delicate fingerstyle to cut-through-the-mix rhythm strumming!

Manufacturer's Description from Lowden

The Original Series was the very first Lowden range from 1976, just as the ‘O’ model is George’s original Lowden body design. Although the medium sized ‘F’ and concert sized ‘S’ have been added to the range since then, the Lowden standard of passionate commitment to no-compromise was well and truly set.

Over the years, the 32 has become more sought after especially because of its full bodied and yet very clear defined tone. The Sitka spruce top help to balance the rosewood’s warm fullness. The O version is warm, full and clear, the F is the same but with a more focused projection making it ideal for flat-picking and fingerstyle. The S version has been a bit of a surprise in that it has a large body sound in a concert sized instrument!
