From Lindell Audio
LiN76 is better than ever—thanks to you.
From the start, the original LiN76 was designed to deliver a range of dynamics processing that ranged from transparent program compression to aggressively crushed, pulsing drum mixes. After four years of runaway success, the LiN76 mkII has arrived with several updates coming directly from customer feedback and feature requests.
Of course, you still get the same versatility and quality you’d expect from a LiN76. You’ll be able to gently shape a delicate lead vocal, or smash your drum room track with all-buttons in mode.
What’s new in LiN76 mkII?
LiN76 mkII picks up where the LiN76 left off. We updated our take on the classic 76 compressor with four years’ worth of customer feedback.
Here’s what’s new:
- RCA jack for stereo linking - use two LiN76 mkIIs in balanced, matched stereo operation.
- Updated and improved compression circuit. LiN76 mkII features a totally re-designed compressor circuit with much higher performance and low noise.
- New internal power supply and IEC cable. No more bulky external power supply.
- Traditional ‘76 control scheme for Attack/Release. Clockwise = faster, counter clockwise = slower.
- True bypass: Quickly bypass the unit for quick A/B testing of your settings
- New meter calibration pot for fine-tuning VU meter performance
The best of all 76 worlds
The classic 76 compressor had multiple revisions within its lifetime, each with its own benefits. With the LiN76 mkII, we cherry-picked the best elements of multiple classic circuit revisions to create a versatile, best-of-all-worlds studio workhorse.
- The LiN76 mkII input circuit is inspired by both the classic Rev. G and Rev. D input circuits, known for exceptionally clean preamplification going into the compression stage.
- The LiN76 mkII compression circuit features a FET (Field Effect Transformer) used in some of the earliest 76 models, selected for tone character. Its transformer is custom-made for Lindell Audio.
- The LiN76 mkII output circuit is inspired by the Rev. A output circuit, which is noticeably dirty when pushed.
We found these circuits compliment each other very well, and grant the user a wide range of tonal options. Dial up the input stage with a lower output setting for clean tones; lower the input with a higher output setting for a bit of grit and color.

- Custom-made transformer
- RCA jack for matched stereo operation
