Sound Pure's Take

The IGS RB-500 ME takes the pultec design as its inspiration but adds a few incredibly handy features to the tried and true classic. First, this is a dual-ganged stereo EQ. With one set of knobs controlling left AND right channels you can EQ a stereo bus without the fear of mismatched settings on your left and right channels, You can just as easily pass a single mono source through either side, so you're not missing out on pultecs as a mono EQ. More brilliantly than this, the low-frequency band adds an additional frequency selector to the attenuation circuit. When you want to do the classic boost & cut on the same low-frequency point you can still accomplish this, but if you ever want to boost and cut at different low-frequency points, you can now achieve that with the RB-500 ME!

From IGS Audio

RB500ME is a stereo passive equalizer packed into a double 500-series module. This beast is equipped with transformer balanced inputs (Carnhill) and outputs (Edcor) as well as a class-A driver circuit. Of course the entire filtering section is passive and it mirrors analogue equalizers from the 60s. There is separate frequency selector for low cut and boost sections. Top quality potentiometers and ELMA switches were used to achieve outstanding performance.

The first ever Stereo Pulteq-style EQ in 500 format.

The Rubber Bands is a wonderful tool that can add multiple levels of color to any track or mix. The best thing about, it is that you can set it up in various ways, all sounding clearly distinctive and great at the same. This is the device that gives the studio engineer an opportunity to add their own personality to the music.
