I could play this thing all day! Gretsch does a wonderful job with the resonator design. It's so well composed! The Pearloid on the headstock looks great with the Poinsettia design on the cover-plate. Sonically, the 99% aluminum spider cone lends crisp definition to the "honk" you'd expect from a resonator. I find that resonators are often capable of much more than open-tuning slidework--the level of articulation available to you with this instrument suggests intricacy and nuance found in jazz standards, Bach chorales, and beyond. While it would certainly be an excellent companion for a lazy afternoon on the porch, the Fishman® Nashville pickup in there makes this Bobtail bandstand ready, too! Whether you're just now making your way into Reso-world or have been a steel guitar player for a while, you'll have a hard time putting this thing down once you hear it glisten and growl!
