Condition: Used, Excellent
SP Luthier Notes: The frets as they were could not be repaired to an acceptable state so they were replaced with spec accurate fretwire and shaped into near mint condition. Minor dents present on the guitar required our luthier to fill, color match, and refinish the area. No further work was needed.
This Gibson ES-175T is a beautifully preserved example of a timeless hollowbody, offering classic elegance with a sleek, comfortable feel. Its fully hollow maple construction delivers warm, articulate resonance, while the slim taper three-piece maple neck invites effortless movement across the rosewood fingerboard. Finished in rich Wine Red nitrocellulose, it carries undeniable visual charm and vintage appeal. Thoughtful upgrades to the tuning machines and pickups enhance stability and tonal performance, ensuring confident playability without compromising character. Lightweight, resonant, and well cared for, this USA-made ES-175T stands as a compelling, long-term investment for discerning players and collectors alike.
Today's Gibson electric guitars represent the history as well as the future of the electric guitar. The models whose designs have become classics-the ES-175, ES-335, Flying V, Explorer, Firebird, SGs and Les Pauls-are a testament to Gibson's wide appeal, spanning more than four decades of music styles. Gibson's close relationship with musicians is manifest in endorsement models from King, Atkins and jazz greats Howard Roberts and Herb Ellis, plus new Les Pauls made to the personal specifications of rock stars Jimmy Page and Joe Perry. In 1994, Gibson's Centennial year, the new Nighthawk model won an industry award for design, setting the stage for a second hundred years of Gibson quality and innovation.
