Sound Pure's Take
Condition: Used, Excellent
A prized bridge between late-60s transition aesthetics and legendary Fender tone, this 1969 "Drip Edge" Silverface Deluxe Reverb (Serial #A29750) delivers roughly 22 watts of iconic, tube-driven power through two channels (Normal and Vibrato). Recently given a thorough electrical and mechanical service—including fresh filter capacitors, preamp cathode bypass caps, screen grid resistors, and cleaned/re-tensioned tube sockets—it operates with exceptional reliability and ultra-quiet performance. Driven by a 6V6 power section and a 5U4GB rectifier, it features the original Gibbs spring reverb tank alongside classic tube-driven opto-tremolo, with a 5751 tube installed in V4 to give the volume and reverb sweep a smoother, more controllable taper. Housed in a solid pine cabinet with its original silver/turquoise grille cloth and upgraded with a 12" Celestion G12T-75 speaker for added headroom and tight low-end focus, this fully bench-tested vintage workhorse is ready for the stage or studio.
