What We Think

Condition: Used, Very Good. Maintained and Modified by Tim Risteau at Superfine Amps in 2021

Superfine Amps Notes: Cleaned and Tensioned all tube socket contacts. Cleaned jacks and all controls. Cleaned and tightened all mechanical ground points. Replaced burned 1k PS dropping resistor. Replaced several out-of-spec resistors. Corrected miswire in tremolo circuit. Replaced damaged caps and components from previous inexpert repairs. Installed new 6V6 power tubes and set bias. Tightened loose hardware. Re-glued loose tolex inside cabinet. Rebuilt bias supply. Installed Superfine "Princeton Mod" which includes mods to the power supply, filter section phase inverter, etc. Add extended midrange control at rear panel. Adjustable bias mod, Tweaked tremolo speed range. Changed rectifier tube to 5V4GA to reduce B+ voltage to bring internal voltages back down to approximately the same as they would have been with lower AC line voltage when the amp was made.
