Sound Pure's Take
What a great model! Eastman has combined a bodystyle immediately associated with fingerstyle guitar and tonewoods usually found on instruments destined for plectrum-driven lead and rhythym playing. Take into account the attention to detail evident in the maker's insistence on a dove-tailed neck joint and handcarved bracing...what other maker is offering that level of craftsmanship at this kind of price? The sheer quality and versatility of this model beckon guitar players one and all to enjoy a instrument with value far exceeding that of many major brandname guitars!
From Eastman Guitars
Eastman OM
The Orchestra name was given to this model in 1929 in an attempt to entice guitarists in dance orchestras to pick one up and take it to a gig. In more recent years, it has become a go-to instrument for finger pickers, due to its sensitive dynamic profile and subtle tonal properties. It provides a more carefully sculpted sound than a big bodied acoustic.
About Eastman Guitars
When it comes to building a guitar, there is a big difference between assembly and artistry. If history has taught us anything, it is that there is no substitute for skilled craftsmanship. At Eastman, each instrument is given the attention to detail required to ensure that it reaches its maximum potential. Features such as hand-scalloped bracing and precision tap tuning are just two examples of the way we differentiate ourselves. Considering the outward beauty of an Eastman Guitar, it’s often easy to overlook the skill and artistry applied to the inside of such a fine instrument.
