Although small by modern standards, this was the normal sized instrument in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Guitars were considered a parlorinstrument, that is, to be played in small rooms for small groups of people. Don’t let their diminutive size fool you though. With the extra mass of a pyramid bridgemoved to the widest point on the lower bout, this slotted headstock 12 fret guitar can fill more than a parlor with its huge sound.
