Built on a comfortable 25" short scale with a 1 23/32" nut width, it features a Honduran mahogany neck, a ziricote fingerboard with tiny mother-of-pearl dot inlays and ziricote binding, and a matching ziricote rectangular bridge. Elegant appointment details include nickel Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons, an ebony head veneer with an MOP logo and AJ inlay, celluloid tortoise pickguard, and ivoroid body binding. Complete with a hardshell case, the L-DBO-S is an effortless player offering sweet pre-war character and articulate dynamic response.

After a lifetime of favoring larger guitars, Dana found the L-DBO’s power-to-size ratio and clear, direct voice ideal for his personal needs: consisting of unwinding in the living room, casual jamming with friends, very occasional stage use, ease of play and ready transportability. He has since acquired several. Dana’s personal model features a coarse-grained Aged Tone Adirondack top, Sinker Mahogany back and sides, Animal Protein Glue and a single, tiny headstock Inlay.
