Condition Used, Excellent
SP Luthier Notes: This instrument was inspected upon landing iwth us and was deemed to all ready be in ideal playing and cosmetic condition. No further work was required.
While it may only be our 2nd guitar from the masterful David Newton by way of a previous owner, if you're looking for a killer, smallbody Blues machine, this will be the final stop on your journey. Impossibly light, impossibly loud, impossibly crisp and clear from bass to treble--this is the kind of guitar that will ruin, RUIN you when it comes to what you expect from a 00 size (or a Maple b/s instrument of any size, for that matter). And let's not skimp on the other stuff--that flat, 1 3/4" neck and nut are roomy enough for ragtime but fast enough for fleet-fingered forays up and down the neck. And what a sight to behold from a purely cosmetic perspective: the star inlay on the peghead, the tortoise bridge pins, the french polish finish; heck, even the label in this thing looks good!
A final note: our guitar department head, Barrett Brooks, almost bought this guitar when it came in. The reason he didn't? His significant other declared it "too loud"! And he typically plays a dreadnought!
