Sound Pure's Take
The Chandler Limited Little Devil EQ is one of those pieces that doesn’t try to be subtle—and that’s exactly why it works so well.
Inspired by classic British console designs, this EQ is all about bold, musical moves. The stepped controls and fixed frequencies might look limiting on paper, but in practice, they’re the opposite. Every option feels usable, and it’s surprisingly hard to make something sound bad. You’re not hunting for the “right” frequency—you’re choosing from a set of great ones.
Sonically, it’s got attitude. The low end is thick and authoritative, the midrange pushes things forward in a really satisfying way, and the top end has a presence that can add clarity without getting harsh. It’s the kind of EQ that helps sounds take their place in a mix quickly and confidently.
What really stands out is how fast it is to work with. This isn’t about surgical tweaks—it’s about making decisions and moving on. Whether you’re shaping drums, dialing in guitars, or giving a vocal a bit more edge and focus, it delivers results that feel intentional right away.
There’s also a cohesiveness to the sound that comes from its design. It doesn’t just change frequencies—it changes how a source sits and feels in the mix.
For engineers who prefer musical, decisive EQ moves over endless fine-tuning, the Little Devil EQ is a creative tool that brings character, speed, and a whole lot of vibe to the process.
From Chandler Limited
The Little Devil EQ is a small package with a huge sound. It is a Chandlerized British console sound in a 500 package.
This Devil has all discrete circuts with custom transformers, an inductor-based EQ that modern gyrator circuts can't touch, and a classic Baxendall tone control that is simply huge sounding! These units are all hand-made using through-hole components and handwiring. We don't use surface mount components which, in our opinon, lowers the quality. Chandler's units are extremely high-quality made the way your favorite vintage units were made to preserve that special sound.
Please note that all Devils feature increased compatibility! No power issues here!
