What We Think

Unveil a world of rich, resonant sound with this exquisite Boucher OMS Hawaiian Hogtop guitar. Crafted with a stunning Koa body and top, this instrument produces a warm, woody tone with a delightful sparkle that only improves with age. It's not just a guitar; it's an investment in a lifelong musical partner. The Ziricote head veneer and ebony fretboard with elegant long-pattern vintage dot inlays add a touch of timeless class, while Waverly tuners ensure impeccable stability. Lovingly tended to by a luthier, this guitar is a supremely playable and absolutely rock-solid instrument, ready to sing its beautiful song for years to come.

Manufacturer's Description from Bourgeois

In the late 1920s, 12 fret, slotted head guitars began their historic transformation into the still-dominant designs of the 1930s. Left behind, however, were larger upper bouts, longer air cavities and optimal bridge placement at the center of the widest part of the lower bout. The OMS combines these throwback features with a slotted headstock and a 25.5” scale neck to recreate a design still coveted by fingerstylists – and not a few flatpickers.

Bourgeois Guitars

About Manufacturer

Bourgeois Guitars are defining the future of vintage tone, combining old-world hand-voicing techniques with modern innovations in design and materials. Built in a ca. 1850s mill in the industrial town of Lewiston Maine, master luthier Dana Bourgeois and his small team of highly skilled craftsman produce some of the finest steel-string instruments available today.

Known for tonal excellence, meticulous craftsmanship and top-notch materials, they are played by six-string luminaries such as Bryan Sutton, Ricky Skaggs, Sean Watkins, Della Mae, the late Doc Watson and countless professional and nonprofessional enthusiasts. Bourgeois guitars have had a prominent role in the American steel-string guitar renaissance for more than two decades, helping shape acoustic music’s most recent rise in popularity.
