Some manufacturers have a "minimum advertised price", which restricts how low of a price we can display. By requesting an e-mail quote from us, you give us the ability to offer you a lower price than anywhere else on the web. A quote on the product will be sent instantly to the e-mail address you enter, and you can add the product to your cart at the lower price displayed in the e-mail.

What We Think

Condition: Used, Very Good

SP Luthier Notes: Minor dent(s) were drop-filled, color-matched, and refinished. The fret ends were smoothed and polished. Frets that couldn’t be restored were replaced with spec-accurate fretwire, then leveled, re-crowned, and polished for a uniform result. Our luthier noted that the neck was deglossed before the guitar was in our possession. No furhter work was needed.

The Bourgeois Generation D is a beautifully modern dreadnought that blends vintage warmth with forward-thinking design and playability. Its Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack spruce top delivers immediate openness, clarity, and headroom, perfectly paired with mahogany back and sides for a focused, woody voice that records effortlessly. The satin finish and lightweight build give it an inviting, broken-in feel, while elegant details like the ziricote headstock overlay and ivoroid script logo add subtle refinement. Equipped with an LR Baggs Lyric system, this Generation D is stage-ready, deeply musical, and a smart long-term investment built to inspire for decades.

About Manufacturer

Bourgeois Guitars are defining the future of vintage tone, combining old-world hand-voicing techniques with modern innovations in design and materials. Built in a ca. 1850s mill in the industrial town of Lewiston Maine, master luthier Dana Bourgeois and his small team of highly skilled craftsman produce some of the finest steel-string instruments available today.

Known for tonal excellence, meticulous craftsmanship and top-notch materials, they are played by six-string luminaries such as Bryan Sutton, Ricky Skaggs, Sean Watkins, Della Mae, the late Doc Watson and countless professional and nonprofessional enthusiasts. Bourgeois guitars have had a prominent role in the American steel-string guitar renaissance for more than two decades, helping shape acoustic music’s most recent rise in popularity.
