Condition: Used, Excellent
As is to be expected from any Dreadnought, this guitar is LOUD. But in an awesome way. In the type of way where you can feel it resonating against your chest as you hold it, and hear the rich fullness of tone that retains clarity at all dynamic levels. Seriously, if you are a heavy-handed player who is always trying to coax more out of your guitars, this is the instrument for you as it will just not break up or boom. Crisp, bright, sparkly, and dry, this piece is obviously perfect for you flat-picking and chord-strumming gitfiddle bashers out there. However, after noticing how well balanced it was across the registers, I did a little fingerpicking and that blew me away just as much! Like DB says, adirondack has strong fundamentals but also exhibits a complex overtone content.
On to the aesthetics of this guitar: all I can say is wow! The bearclaw figure on the adirondack top is fascinating and gorgeous enough to make the front row at your shows swoon and stare, while the multicolor herringbone trim for the backstrip is a little special something just for you to look at (or maybe show off to your buddies at rehearsal). All the other bells and whistles are just as lovely and tastefully done - which is no surprise - the work Dana does with his guitars is always exemplary and unique.
