What We Think
The Bourgeois D is a breathtaking, long-scale dreadnought built for players who crave power, nuance, and true vintage character. Its Aged Tone Adirondack spruce top delivers enormous headroom and a beautifully broken-in response, perfectly matched with Indian rosewood for deep lows and shimmering overtones. Finished in a rich Dark Sunburst with elegant 30’s-style herringbone and vintage zig-zag details, it feels both timeless and alive. Animal protein glue construction and meticulous craftsmanship ensure exceptional resonance and stability. Signed by Dana Bourgeois himself, this D is a serious, heirloom-level investment designed to open up, inspire, and reward for decades to come.
About Manufacturer
Bourgeois Guitars are defining the future of vintage tone, combining old-world hand-voicing techniques with modern innovations in design and materials. Built in a ca. 1850s mill in the industrial town of Lewiston Maine, master luthier Dana Bourgeois and his small team of highly skilled craftsman produce some of the finest steel-string instruments available today.
Known for tonal excellence, meticulous craftsmanship and top-notch materials, they are played by six-string luminaries such as Bryan Sutton, Ricky Skaggs, Sean Watkins, Della Mae, the late Doc Watson and countless professional and nonprofessional enthusiasts.
