The 12-fret design itself is a throwback to the guitars of the early 20th century. But you may notice it looks a bit different... Why's the soundhole look so big? Why's the bridge riding so low? Well, it's a 12-fret design, yes, but applied to a 14-fret body. So how does all that affect the sound? Brilliantly. Brassy mid presence, throaty bass and singing highs all culminate in a ridiculously well-balanced tone, and the string-to-string clarity is surprisingly precise while still allowing opportunities for pleasant overtones to ring out.
