The Boucher SG-51-I is a masterfully crafted acoustic built for players who appreciate power, nuance, and long-term musical value. Its master-grade torrefied Adirondack spruce top delivers exceptional headroom, clarity, and a broken-in warmth that feels immediate and inspiring. Forward-shifted, hand-scalloped bracing enhances responsiveness, while the South American mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard provide a smooth, confident playing feel. Elegant herringbone and maple appointments reflect Boucher’s meticulous attention to detail. Lively, refined, and deeply expressive, this SG-51-I is a serious, heirloom-quality investment designed to reward thoughtful playing for decades to come.
A few years back a wonderful man named Robin Boucher drove to Sound Pure studios all the way from Canada. In his back seat, nestled in lovely tweed cases, he had some of the finest acoustic guitars to ever cross our northern border. We became immediate friends and his work was mind-blowing. The clarity of the tone, the immaculate fit and finish, the effortless playability. To top it all off, Robin got his start as a WOOD DEALER. He happens to live in an Adirondack red spruce forest!
