Conditon: Used, Very Good
A fantastic throwback to an earlier form of Boucher's fantastic, long scale OOO! We find that these older Studio Goose models were/are a bit more overtoney than the present Heritage Goose instruments (which we love, too!). Adirondack and Maple can be -quite- bright indeed but this instrument has a rich, deep voice that offers far more than just crisp top end. Deceptively powerful for something of its size and remarkably warm and bassy given the tonewoods, all at a price that should make you look twice!
SP Luthier Notes: Setup
Guitars from our Studio Goose series are especially crafted to fulfill the needs of demanding guitarists. Whether the guitarist is looking for precise acoustic sounds while performing live or to meet the stringent requirements of studio recording engineers, these guitars will provide it.
Each Adirondack red spruce soundboard of the Studio Goose is personally selected by Robin Boucher with his commitment to provide the wood qualities needed to deliver high end sound.
The playability and versatility of the Studio Goose makes it the ideal instrument to channel your inspirations into harmonious melodies.
A few years back a wonderful man named Robin Boucher drove to Sound Pure studios all the way from Canada. In his back seat, nestled in lovely tweed cases, he had some of the finest acoustic guitars to ever cross our northern border. We became immediate friends and his work was mind-blowing. The clarity of the tone, the immaculate fit and finish, the effortless playability. To top it all off, Robin got his start as a WOOD DEALER. He happens to live in an Adirondack red spruce forest!
