Now, the Orion 32+ takes the industry-leading interface to the next level by offering Thunderbolt connectivity for incredibly low latency, faster transfer speeds, and even more interfacing stability. I actually love the fact that they still included USB connectivity, as if you’re like me and have an older laptop without USB for portable recording and a more modern Thunderbolt equipped desktop in my studio, I’m now able to use the same world-class interface in every recording environment I’d find myself in.
While the Orion32+ packs tons of great features for an all-in-one interface (onboard DSP engine, mastering-grade monitor outputs, Antelope’s advanced jitter-management tech), the real game-changing update is the addition of Thunderbolt and the significantly reduced latency it provides.

Orion32+ carries on an incredible tradition established by the original Orion32 just 3 years ago, when it become the dominant high channel count interface on the market and broke the barriers of what a USB Interface and a 1U rack could offer. Orion32+ now features Thunderbolt, with extremely low latency without defeating Power Management in the Mac OS, keeping fan noise low on a MacBook Pro under recording situations. There is also a new TRS 1/4" Monitor Out, in addition to the 32 Outputs on D-Sub connections, making it easier than ever to connect a pair of studio monitors via a monitor volume controller, such as Antelope's own Satori Monitor Controller. There is also a new software control panel, featuring FX such as Antelope's recently introduced AuroVerb hardware quality reverb, that run on the internal DSP of the Orion32+. Versatile Connectivity Options
Orion32 + is a successor to the world’s first 32-channel AD/DA, now offering a greater variety of interfaces such as ThunderboltTM, MADI and USB. The digital connectivity options are complimented also by ADAT and S/PDIF.
Orion32 + provides seamless connectivity to any DAW, allowing for low latency simultaneous I/O streaming of 32 channels of 24-bit, 192 kHz audio signal. The analog I/O are handled by 8 D-Sub 25 connectors and a pair of TRS connectors for the monitoring.
Enhanced Routing, Mixing and Monitoring
Orion32 + offers stunning flexibility and great productivity, providing a color-coded routing matrix with four separate mixers, built-in DSP effects and zero latency monitoring. The entire control is gathered in a desktop application available for both OS X and Windows.
The control panel is based on the software created initially for Orion32 and further developed for another Antelope Audio leading product, Zen Studio. Orion32+ control panel is an extremely intuitive user-friendly interface, which incorporates both our know-how and customers’ feedback.
Antelope’s Conversion and Clocking Legacy
The proven clocking accuracy is supported by Antelope’s renowned 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) jitter management technology, the same as with the flagship Trinity Master Clock.
The 10 MHz input, enabling connectivity to Antelope’s legendary 10M Atomic Clock and its successor 10MX, makes Orion32+ crystal oscillator remarkably precise, emphasizing the signature Antelope sound. The two word clock outputs make Orion32+ a great fit in any setup, not only as an interface, but a master clock as well.
The clean, transparent and detailed conversion in Orion32+ is the same as with its predecessor, which has proved its sound quality in a great number of studios and live shows across the Globe.
