The 3rd Power Dream 40 American is making a huge commotion here at SoundPure! This amp is exactly what you think of when you envision 'The American Dream'...and it's definitely got some very dreamy tones inside.
This particular circuit is driven by 6L6 power tubes utilizing 2 classic American-style voicings - 'Blackface' and 'Tweed'. And with 3rd Power's innovative HybridMaster™ control and Venue Switch, allowing you to effectively lower the wattage of the amp by 80% (from 40W to roughly 8-10W), you are easily able to dial in all your favorite 6L6 sounds at whatever volume you'd like.
Starting off in the Blackface voicing the first thing you notice is a crystal clear signal with a powerful, tight bass response with next to no noise and tons of headroom...making it the perfect pedal platform for effects lovers. The Tweed mode gives a slight mid-boost and great tweed-style cleans. However if you toss a little more power out in front, you get a very organic and harmonically rich drive sound with incredible articulation and single-note clarity.
In it's simplest terms - this thing is a beast. Between multiple voicings and a venue switch allowing you to change the output power, the Dream 40 American has the distuingishing ability to really find it's niche in multiple genres of music. All the classic American tones you can think of packed into one absolutely killer amp.
