A blind shootout video between a Rupert Neve Vintage 1073 mic preamp, and Vintech Audio's 573 clone - a 500-series style of module preamp. This is similar to our first shootout video featuring a Vintage Neve 1073 vs. Vintech x73i, this shootout demonstrates how to match the levels (using phase cancellation) during the setup of the shootout, and then conducting a shootout blindly. Instead of featuring Sound Pure's Steinway Concert Grand model B, we feature a short acoustic guitar passage. The Port Orford Cedar sounds similar to a warm spruce top, and the Pau Rosa, a hardwood from South America, is very dense and has a tone that falls between Rosewood and Ebony.
