This Yamaha SSC-500 in classic Sunburst is one of those rare early-’80s electrics that immediately feels alive in your hands, blending vintage character with a surprising amount of tonal flexibility. Its alder body, set-maple neck, and trio of blade-style single coils create a sound that moves easily from crisp clarity to warm, expressive grit, giving you a guitar that invites you to play rather than fight against it. This particular example has been thoughtfully tended to by a skilled luthier, making it not an “as-is” relic but a genuinely dialed-in instrument—stable, smooth, and ready to inspire. It’s the kind of guitar that feels like an investment: collectible, dependable, and built with the sort of care that makes each note ring with purpose!
