SP Luthier Notes: The truss rod and bridge were fully adjusted. All of the frets were polished, recrowned and leveled. Some of the frets were coming out of the fretboard, and our luthier reseated them and glued them into place. No further work was required. This was our luthier's personal instrument and the repair work is metitculous and flawless.
Experience the vibrant, vintage voice of the 1983 Yamaha SA800, a semi-hollow stunner with a rich history. This Japanese-made gem isn’t just a guitar—it’s an investment in a legend, crafted with a laminated beech and birch body and a rock-solid mahogany neck. Its Spinex humbucking pickups sing with a clear, dynamic punch, perfectly suited for everything from jazzy licks to soulful blues. This SA800 stands as a testament to its previous owner, our very own luthier, who meticulously tended to his personal instrument with careful labor to ensure its supreme playability. The fretboard's smooth rosewood and the 24.75" scale length make it an absolute joy to hold. This is a solid, soulful specimen that simply does not suck—it shines!
