What We Think

This Yamaha snare drum has just come into us as a consignment item and we’re eager to find it a new home as it’s in great condition! It’s been well looked after by it’s previous owner and is in great condition. This snare drum has been crafted in a environmentally friendly way after Steve Jordan spoke about his environmental concerns. The maple was harvested from forests that are then re-planted to help preserve the resource. This signature Yamaha snare drum has a beautiful natural look and delivers warm sounds which work nicely in all playing styles.

Manufacturer's Description from Yamaha

Professional 6-1/2" x 13" snare drum features a 4-ply all-maple shell, 6-ply reinforcement hoop, and non-plated 20-strand snare. Steve's environmental concerns led Yamaha to manufacture this model using environmentally friendly wood harvesting methods, finishes, and adhesives. The result is a natural appearance and warm sound suited to all playing styles. A master of styles, Jordan's recording and performance credits include David Sanborn, Keith Richards, Patti Austin, George Benson, BB King, Spiro Gyra, James Taylor, Steely Dan, and Neil Young.
