From Tegeler
The Tegeler Audio Vocal Leveler 500 is a high-end 500-series optical compressor engineered to deliver smooth, musical level control tailored to vocals and other dynamic sources. Its program-dependent circuitry automatically rides gain in response to the performance, evening out peaks and low-level passages without introducing the pumping or artifacts often associated with conventional compressors. The result is a more controlled, balanced signal that preserves expressiveness and clarity. Compact and intuitive, the Vocal Leveler 500 excels on lead and background vocals, acoustic guitars, solo instruments, and any source that benefits from natural, program-aware dynamics shaping within hybrid tracking and mixing workflows.
