Sound Pure's Take

Condition: Used, Excellent

This is our first of the V-Class 512CEs we've seen and we are VERY impressed with what this guitar can do.  It may not be something you can slam/bang on but if "fingerstyle guitar" in general means anything to you, this one will mean even more.  Alternate tunings sound great, capo-ing in various positions sounds great, cowboy chords sound great. Responding at the lightest of touches with warm, organic tone, this guitar will pull you (and your audience!) in further and further with every bar.

From Taylor Guitars

The Taylor 512ce should be an enticing option for any guitar player, but especially fingerstyle players or those who want warmth and soft-touch responsiveness in the same package. Made with back and sides of mahogany with a Western Red cedar top, this compact Grand Concert model boasts a warm, woody musical personality with a bold midrange response, strong fundamental focus and minimal ringing overtones. Cedar's natural softness makes for a pleasingly rounded tone that's highly responsive to a light tough, making this a great option for players with a wide dynamic range. V-Class bracing pumps out more volume and sustain, and the included ES2 pickup provides natural-sounding live tone. It ships with a hardshell case.
